“…And the winner for class B is…” Come on! We were at a marching band competition and we had to win this. We spent the week trying to perfect everything about the show, from stepping in time, dynamics, fitting form. Every time a handful of people don’t do it right, we get a long “inspirational” speech on how our directors want to win more than us.

“…winner for class B is… Dayton Marching Band!” But that’s okay. That was for the best dynamics. We won overall, auxiliary, percussion, among others, which meant we didn’t have to suffer a motivational speech.
